The Keepr app icon

macOS 14 or later

Everything you copy, capture and write.

Keepr keeps your clipboard history, your screenshots and your to-do list in one calm app that never leaves your Mac. No account, no server, no analytics, no network access.

What it does

  • Clipboard history

Text, links, images and files are saved as you copy them, and duplicates fold into the existing entry instead of piling up. Pin, favourite, rename, tag or file anything into a folder.

  • Screenshots with an editor

Full screen, a selected area or a single window. Captures land in the library and open in an editor with crop, blur, arrows, rectangles, highlight and text.

  • A real to-do list

Tasks carry due dates, steps and notes. Open a popup with one keystroke, type, press Return. Any clipboard item or capture can become a task.

  • Reminders that work

Keepr shows its own alert with Open, Snooze and Done, so reminders fire whether or not macOS has granted notification permission.

  • Keyboard first

Two keys to reach anything. Type to search, arrows to move, Return to paste. Global shortcuts use the system hotkey service, so no Accessibility permission is needed.

  • Credentials are skipped

Content that password managers mark as concealed is ignored, along with text shaped like a token, private key or card number. Chosen apps can be excluded entirely.

Where your data lives

On your Mac, and nowhere else. Items, folders and settings are plain JSON; images are PNG files. Everything sits in ~/Library/Application Support/Keepr, in a directory created with owner-only permissions.

Keepr makes no network requests. There is no account to create, no server to sync with and no analytics of any kind. Deleting that folder deletes your data.

You stay in control of how much is kept: pause recording from the menu bar or a shortcut, cap how many clipboard items are stored at once, have items deleted automatically after a day, a week or a month, or erase everything at any time. Read the full privacy policy for the detail.

Free and Pro

  • Free

    The whole app, with limits

Every feature works. Popups show your 4 most recent items in full, carry an offer row, and captures are badged.

  • Keepr Pro

    $0.99/month for 3 months, then $7.99/month

Your whole history stays readable, the offer rows go away and captures are no longer badged. Cancel any time. Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region.

Requirements and permissions

  • System macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
  • Clipboard No permission prompt is needed. Recording can be paused at any time.
  • Screen Recording Requested by macOS the first time you take a screenshot. Nothing is recorded in the background.
  • Accessibility (optional) Only used to press Command-V for you after you pick an item. Without it, the item is still copied to your clipboard.
  • Notifications (optional) Used for system reminder alerts. Keepr falls back to its own in-app alert when permission is not granted.
